CPC-I

Ethan brings a genuine, grounded presence to his work with clients, the kind of person who's easy to be around, even when the work is hard. He treats a variety of presenting concerns: OCD, ADHD, autism, trauma, HIV+ care, men's issues, codependency, depression, anxiety, borderline personality, and gambling.

Ethan draws from Gottman Level 1, ACT, CBT, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused approaches, and DBT, adapting his method to fit each client's needs. He has particular depth working with the LGBTQ+ community, including clients who are HIV+, and is especially attuned to trauma work.

Ethan works with individuals age 12 and up and couples, and is an affirming, experienced provider for LGBTQ+ clients, including trans clients. His steady, welcoming presence makes him a natural fit for clients who want a therapist who feels like a genuine ally.

Clients describe Ethan's style as warm, conversational, and genuine. Sessions can feel like talking things through with a trusted friend, while still leading to meaningful insight, personal growth, and therapeutic change.

When he’s not in session, Ethan can be found catching up on reality television, spending time with the people he loves, heading to Tahoe, reading, or working on his latest diamond art project.
